Celebrating a year of firsts At Our South Florida Venue
2022 was a year of firsts, of wins, and of growth at Villa Veintiséis. We created this South Florida venue with the dream of bringing together a community and nurturing wellness, generosity and creativity. Villa Veintiséis kicked off the year with our first ever Vision Boards workshop (which we hope to bring back in 2023 too). Our vision board session laid the groundwork for a purpose-driven and intentional journey for the year, and boy, did the universe deliver! We’ve been honored to host special events, romantic weddings and intimate milestone celebrations.
Another remarkable first: in 2022, Villa Veintiséis hosted the Tough Love Retreat in South Florida – our first wellness retreat in the garden. Attendees enjoyed yoga, meditation, guided talks and group sessions surrounded by nature in our botanical garden. They spent the day connecting with nature, the other attendees and themselves. It was a first but definitely not a last for our venue. We look forward to the return of Tough Love Retreat and more wellness-based events in 2023.
New Look In The Garden
While many vacationed in South Florida, we spent the summer remodeling the villa and updating the garden space for hosting more special events and photoshoots. We started small with a new greenery-draped chandelier in the pavilion. Then, we moved on to updating our porch. Adding glamour to this small space was easy with new Mediterranean-style tiles and a palm-leaf outdoor ceiling fan. Recently, we added a wood-paneled aisle to our lawn for garden wedding ceremonies too. This beautiful walkway serves a practical purpose and adds to the function of our open lawn space.
Unforgettable Garden Photoshoots
Villa Veintiséis was the setting to some pretty epic and epically pretty photoshoots in 2022. From daring engagement sessions where the couple plunged into our lagoon pool to surprise proposals mid-mother’s day photo sessions, our garden saw it all! We hosted many styled photoshoots with local collaborators-turned-friends and coordinated our first-ever Content Day too. Villa Veintiséis was also the chosen location for local wedding dress designer, Hannah Gotz, to photograph her latest bridal gown collection. This is just the beginning of the collaborations to take place at Villa Veintiséis.
Our Growing Team
Quite possibly our most exciting change of the year, 2022 gave us the opportunity to expand our team for some much-needed event support. We couldn’t have expanded our team without the growing love and support from our clients and community. In 2022 we welcomed Andrea Salini, our new day-of event coordinator, to our team. Andrea supports many of the events at Villa Veintiséis, ensuring everything runs seamlessly before, during and after your special event.
It’s the understatement of the year to say we couldn’t have done this without you. As small business owners, we rely on our community, family, friends, clients and local vendors to realize our dreams in this incredible venue.
